How GradeDate compares
GradeDate is a tool for dating — a coaching interface that helps you build and understand your dating profile, then matches you with people who look similar, share your interests, and live nearby. This page is about what we actually do, and how to weigh us against any app.
How we're different
A coach, not a judge
GradeDate is a tool for dating. It grades each of your photos on a 1–10 scale, recommends your strongest profile picture, and shows a city percentile — so you can build and understand your profile, not be judged by it.
City percentile, not a raw score
Instead of a single number floating with no context, you get a percentile that shows where your profile sits for your city — a more honest, less reductive read.
An 80/20 grade + geography feed
Your feed is 80% people in your appearance range and 20% outside it, matched on grade, common interests, and geography — realistic, not a bubble and not a fantasy.
Age verification that's actually enforced
In the beta, every account is verified with a government ID (document + selfie). It's mandatory — not a checkmark you can skip.
AI photo and message moderation
Photos and messages are scanned automatically, with flagged content reviewed by a human safety reviewer on our team.
Zero tolerance for serious harm
CSAM, underage content, and human trafficking are zero-tolerance: content is hidden immediately, the account is locked, and authorities are notified.
Free to start, honest pricing
Start free: 3 likes per day, 1 free regrade per week, up to 5 photos, browsing, and messaging. Premium is $5.99/month, and the first 1,000 Premium subscribers lock in that price while subscribed — that's a real number we enforce.
How to weigh us against any app
We don't make claims about other apps — only about what GradeDate ships. Every dating app sets its own terms, pricing, and practices, and those change. So we'd rather you check each app's own published materials, including ours, and judge for yourself. This page exists to be clear about what we do, what we cost, and how we protect users: a trustworthy comparison is one that tells you what it doesn't know instead of guessing.
Frequently asked questions
How is GradeDate different from other dating apps?
GradeDate is a coaching interface for dating, not a judge: it grades each of your photos on a 1–10 scale, recommends the strongest profile picture, shows your city percentile, and matches you on grade, common interests, and geography. Your feed is 80% people in your appearance range and 20% outside it. We focus on being a tool that helps you build and understand your profile.
Do you compare yourself to specific apps?
No. We only make claims about what GradeDate actually ships, so we don't describe or judge other apps. Instead, we explain what we do and encourage you to check each app's own published materials and weigh them for yourself.
How do I know what I'm getting?
Start free: 3 likes per day, 1 free regrade per week, up to 5 photos, browsing, and messaging. Premium is $5.99/month for premium likes, regrades, a booster, and see-who-liked-you. The first 1,000 Premium subscribers lock in that $5.99/month price while subscribed (Founders Club). Even the free demo grader is honestly labeled as a simulated preview.
Is my grade public?
No. Your grade and city percentile are private to you — other members see your photos and profile, never your grade and never your biometric data.
